A Moment Wrapped in the Healing Scent of Roses

At a farm cultivating 1,400 Hamanasu (Rugosa Rose) plants, you will gently harvest rose petals by hand. The moment you step into the farm, you are enveloped by the sweet and refreshing fragrance of Hamanasu.
This delicate scent is said to uplift the mood and bring a sense of happiness. Surrounded by natural aromas, take your time to admire the flowers and enjoy a peaceful, fulfilling moment as you carefully gather the petals.

Beauty Benefits of Hamanasu

Hamanasu, a flower so beloved that it has been designated as one of Hokkaido’s representative flowers, holds a special place in the hearts of local residents. Its vivid reddish-pink blossoms bloom twice a year—in early summer and again in autumn. The fragrance of its flowers is often said to rival, or even surpass, that of the Damask rose.

Roses are known for their many benefits in nurturing both the body and mind, especially for women. Much attention has been given to the relaxing effects of rose fragrances, such as nerol, as well as the antioxidant properties found in the petals, including rose polyphenols, and their rich content of vitamin C.

After harvesting, you will move to a multi-purpose facility renovated from a former school. The freshly picked petals are carefully washed and slowly distilled using a glass distillation apparatus to create floral water.
The distilled water captures the fragrance and natural components of Hamanasu, resulting in a rare essence that is seldom available on the market. This precious Hamanasu floral water will be bottled in a light-protective container and presented to you as a special souvenir.
